How to Get More Sales from BetterVisitors Traffic (or Any Traffic)

Most of our customers get great results, but some report ZERO sales, even on the biggest campaigns!

You’re probably saying, “Mike, you’re crazy to even say that! Why would you say something negative like that?”

Because I know why they get zero sales, and if you’re getting zero sales, you’ll want to know too. It’s not our traffic, and it’s not their product. There’s one difference between customers who report strong sales and those who get nothing — bad landing pages!

Categories for Targeted Traffic

Some people want to shop by how many visitors they need, but most people are more concerned with the category of their targeted traffic — and they’re right!

Therefore, we’re adding a different way of finding the traffic you need in the BetterVisitors: a new section called Browse by Category. (Fair Warning! It’s a very short list right now, it’ll get filled up in the weeks to come.)

Website Traffic: What’s a Hit, A Page View, A Visitor?

If you can’t count, you can’t make any money. And you won’t have any money to count unless you also know how to count traffic, so listen up. (Even if you think you’re already an expert.)

Some people throw around the words “hits” and “page views”, but usually they wouldn’t know the difference between a hit and a potato pancake.

You know how to tell a $1 from and $100, right? Well, these four essential terms are the currency of traffic. Learn to count them right and you’ll be head and shoulders above everyone else. Or don’t bother, and get used to trading $100s for $1s instead of the other way around.

Affiliate Marketing: Your Site or Theirs?

A lot of affiliate marketers buy traffic from BetterVisitors. And then they send the traffic straight to a web page that they got from an affiliate company.

That got me thinking: is it better to use the slick page provided by the affiliate company, or build your own?

It looks like using the affiliate page is a no-brainer — it’s done very professionally, and it’s been tested again and again and proven to bring in sales. BUT BEWARE: there are some big downsides to using their page that these companies don’t tell you about.

Do You Have Too Many Links?

If you have too many links on your web page, it could really be costing you.

I see a lot of sites with links in every paragraph, and littering the sidebar. Add Banner ads, Text Link ads, Google Adsense ads, and the whole page is nothing but links.

BUT the truth is — if you want to LOSE MONEY, make sure you have a lot of links. The trick to MAKING MONEY is staying very focused — and that means getting rid of useless links.

Discount Coupons for Website Traffic

Thinking about trying targeted traffic but feel it’s too expensive?

BetterVisitors has the lowest prices anyway, but right now you can use two great coupons.

You’re probably saying, “Yeah, great Mike, but you advertise these on the site anyway, why do you need a blog post about this?”

The answer is, the careful reader always wins. Because did you ever think about using BOTH those coupons and getting COMBINED discount?

Income Opportunities: Category Spotlight

In the area of online business, BetterVisitors has four great categories:

  • Income Opportunities
  • Home Business
  • MLM (Multi-Level Marketing)
  • Money Making

What’s the difference? Which one should you pick for your site?

Income Opportunities are best for sites where the target customer already has a little money. That might include investors, people looking for a franchise, or just someone who has a little spare cash.

What’s So Important About Targeted Traffic?

Online traffic is just like any other sales traffic — except the customers aren’t very polite. If they don’t see what they like, they’re gone. No goodbyes, no thank yous — just a click of the mouse button.

When someone goes online to buy something, they’re looking for something specific. It’s very rare that someone comes to a site because they’re bored and just want to browse.
